UH Manoa.

The UH Mānoa Graduate Student Organization’s kuleana is to serve, advocate for, and support graduate students at UH Mānoa; to foster community engagement; to faciliate positive change; and to encourage a Hawaiian place of learning.

Equity for all graduate students. We understand the particular challenges that graduate students face, and work to provide equitable access to educational and professional opportunities.
Graduate student issues affect everyone. We value a strong and contextual relationship with the diverse populations within and outside the University of Hawaii system, using local volunteer and cooperative opportunities to strengthen ties and build knowledge.
We value activism over reactivism. The UH Mānoa GSO values active and continual participation in local politics and political movements, urging foresight and long-term governance strategies to ensure a supportive academic environment at UH Mānoa.
Academic rigor requires a supportive environment. We are dedicated to providing graduate students with a representative organization that commits time, knowledge, and creativity into understanding and crafting solutions for key issues.
Our goal is to serve. We strive to represent our constituents with humility and in the spirit of public service. As a governing body for graduate students, by graduate students, we are in a unique position to provide contextual expertise and experience.
The world changes; we change with it. The GSO at UH Mānoa strives to adapt our focus to current issues and concerns of the graduate student population as they come to our attention
