Fall 2016 GSO Logo Contest

The UH Mānoa Graduate Student Organization is seeking talented artists to design our new logo!

To reflect GSO values and mission, weʻre looking to incorporate the image and symbolism of the Kōnane board. The Native Hawaiian game of Kōnane requires strategic thinking, foresight, and a clear understanding of affecting factors both large and small. It is a clear reflection of how the GSO strives to operate as a representative organization.

In your logo, you should incorporate the following:

  • Kōnane Board
  • GSO Values
    • Kaulike (Equity)
    • ‘Ohana (Community)
    • ‘Onipa’a (Activism)
    • ‘O’ole’a (Rigor)
    • Kuleana (Service)
    • Holu (Adaptability)
  • Clear indication of the organization being represented. I.E:
    • GSO UH Mānoa
    • UH Mānoa Graduate Student Organization
