About the Elections

Elections are typically held between February and April of each year. The FOUR positions open every election are President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.  Other positions on the GSO Executive Committee are appointed by the President and ratified by the General Assembly (department representatives body) following an interview process. All positions receive a nominal stipend that is approved annually by the general assembly. 2017-2018 monthly stipend amounts are listed next to the position titles below.

*All positions involve serving as a GSO past-officer for one month following the end of the elected term.
